PSIA-RM Fall Training 2017

All signed up for the upcoming fall training in Breckenridge, November 12 to 14th. It’s an excellent opportunity to meet lots of folks in our division. Rub shoulders with my counterparts from other areas. It’s been a broadening experience every time I’ve gone. I think I’ve been about 10 times over the years.

I believe it’s worth the costs enough to pay for it myself this year (long story). In all the years past Monarch has paid for me to attend. I truly appreciate every single one of those times. Those events went a long way toward molding me into a better professional. I still have a ways to go. That’s why I feel it’s an important enough event to pay for it myself.

Last year Monarch paid for my attendance fees to two Resort Trainer Development events. I paid for my own gas and food. They were two days long each. I’d have to say those were well worth the time, effort, and money. Kathryn (and I thought Jack, but new info may reveal he didn’t know about it) did not budget for me to attend Fall Training, but she did budget for me to attend the RTD events.

Maybe next year, after I’ve been deemed a Rocky Mountain Trainer, there will be more opportunities. I think that the higher up in the profession the you are, the more opportunities present themselves. But in the meantime, I’ll continue to work with any opportunities I can, even to pursue the greatest challenges for they present the greatest opportunities.
